The inventor story

Kelly Westall, the Australian inventor of the BustFree Strapless Bra was fed up with the discomfort and inconvenience of conventional bras, so she decided to do something about it. She invented a bra that has no straps, requires no adhesives and is actually held in place by the wearers clothing.

Kelly was fed up, not only because regular bra's rubbed and irritated a small mole below one of her breasts, but also because she was tired of the hassle of straps and wires.

She decided to find a solution to all of these problems and she sat down and designed breast cups that were comfortable, didn’t have straps and didn't irritate or rub against the mole.

After showing her new invention on a National TV program in Australia, she received an overwhelming response from women who saw the show. In the first week, Kelly's simple website received over 20,000 visitors and orders for over 1,000 pairs of BustFree breast cups. In the first month sales exceeded 50,000 pairs from the website and call centers.

Bustfree has now been patented world wide. The company has now expanded its operations and licenses have been issued to sell BustFree Strapless Bras in Europe, the Far East, Canada, United States, Mexico, New Zealand, Singapore and Japan.
